FOOD DONATION PROGRAM

As you are making a decision to pick a moving company we would like you to become aware of some of our programs.  One of the programs is food for the Yuma County Food Bank.  Taking perishable foods are not allowed in the moving process and sometimes taking semi-perishable foods can cost you more money for the move adding to your weight. 

An example of this is a 10 lbs bag of flour.  If it cost you 70 cents per pound to move, this bag of flour will cost you $7. In order to benefit yourself and the community we will box up and deliver in your name all of your unopened perishable and semi-perishable foods to the Yuma County Food Bank.  In return we will scan and send to you the donation slip for use on your taxes. This not only reduces the cost of the move, but gives you an allowable tax deduction and helps people that need assistance.

We work with many different organizations in town to lighten your load on the move.   Some of the organizations are Habitat for Humanity, utilizing Habitat Restore, and Hospice of Yuma.  These organizations provide needed support for the local community.  Other organizations that we recommend are Helping Hands, Crossroads Mission and the Humane Society of Yuma. These are all local charities that help the local community.  We know many people throw out a great deal of items during the moving process.  Fortunately we can assist you with arranging these items to be delivered to a family in need rather than thrown away.   We can also connect you with a company which will hold a garage sale for you, and anything left from that can be donated. We try to eliminate your stress while making an enjoyable transition to a new home.
